Sound in post-production

We're currently working on a project that was filmed live in a setting where there was ambient noise that we could not control - in this case traffic from a nearby road. The recording of the oration was at times been drowned out by the passing cars and trucks. So, with the hep of our friends in our sister organisation, Nucleus Recordings, we got to work to help clear it up. Below is a short video that shows the difference between the two tracks, before clean-up and after. You should be able to hear the difference as we toggle the effect on and off.

This is just the first step in creating better audio, but as you can already hear there is a big difference with the background noise been subdued. The next step is to bring a fuller, rounder sound back into the voice. If you have any problems with the quality of your recordings, please don't hesitate to contact us for advice.
