Black Hole Studio presents an exhibition of fine art photographic prints by Matthew Gammon, Laura Jean Zito and David j.
The work of landscapes and nature will feature photogravures, analogue and digital prints. It will be on display for the duration of the Boyle Arts Festival 14th - 23rd July 2022 at Studio Eleven Exhibition Centre, which can be found along the river walkway between the main road bridge and the pedestrian bridge at the back of King House (Click to view map).
A self-taught artist originally from England, moved to Belfast in 1990 to attend Queen’s University, and in 2004 moved to Boyle in the West of Ireland, where he currently resides.
Laura is a graduate of Harvard University’s Visual and Environmental Studies Department, with a Summa Cum Laude thesis in photographic printing from noted photography critic Ben Lifson. She is the First American and the First Woman to win the Grand Prize in the Nikon Contest
On a visit to Minneapolis, USA he received an inspirational lesson from Brian Pobuda looking through the book 'Photography as a Fine Art'. It was then he understood the full scope of the photographic image and hasn't looked back since.
