Another image added to the Flower Series. This time it's of a tulip that was withering away after a week or so. It still looked quite beautiful in the setting light coming through the window, so just had to get the camera out and take a few shots. A very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon and early evening.
This time I've kept it in colour as the deep reds seem to evoke a sense of loss as if blood were draining from the flower itself and getting lost into the darkness of the space. A piece that would add a certain gravitas to bright room, especially with lightly painted walls.
