Finished my QQI level 5 Product Design course in the Mohill Enterprise Centre, Co. Leitrim under the guidance of the three mentors, Leo Scarff, Ali Farrell and Stuart Lawn. It was a really good course in which I learned quite a lot about the processes involved in thinking about and designing a new product. There is a lot of research needed before actually getting on with the design process, but it is all really helpful in the end.
My product was a standing stool which I called The Cephal Stool because of it's tentacle like legs. I really wanted something that did not look like the usual office chairs available, even those that are ergonomic. So my work was cut out for me, in particular learning how to make organic shapes using Fusion 360. However, with the help of the tutors and the other participants I was able to complete the task. Let me know what you think!
